Mr Evangelos Tsialogiannis is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, advanced sports knee surgery and soft tissue reconstruction. He is one of the few UK surgeons performing the AMIS anterior hip replacement technique, with a focus on muscle sparing and simultaneous bilateral hip replacement, robotic assisted knee replacement and rapid recovery pathways for active patients and athletes.
Background & Experience
Mr Tsialogiannis holds a CCT (Tr&Orth) and brings 28 years of surgical experience across hip and knee reconstruction, sports knee surgery and complex lower limb trauma. This includes 15 years in the Greek Army as a senior medical officer at the rank of Major, with NATO and United Nations peacekeeping deployments and extensive trauma experience.
He completed a Lower Limb Reconstruction Fellowship at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals, followed by a fellowship at the internationally renowned Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
As one of the few UK surgeons performing the AMIS technique, he is a recognised national trainer in anterior hip replacement surgery and is registered with the National Joint Registry.
His philosophy combines state of the art minimally invasive techniques with enhanced recovery protocols, helping patients return to mobility, sport and daily activities as quickly and safely as possible.
