About Mr Stranks
Mr Geoffrey Stranks is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon who qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1983 and gained his FRCS (Orth) in 1995. He was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital in 1995 and specialises in hip and knee surgery, alongside the surgical treatment of common hand conditions.

Throughout his career Mr Stranks has had a particular interest in rapid recovery and mini incision hip replacement surgery, helping patients return to comfortable, active movement as quickly and safely as possible.
Recognition & Teaching
Mr Stranks has been closely involved in teaching orthopaedic surgeons and served as an examiner for the national FRCS orthopaedic examination for ten years. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Hip Society, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal Society of Medicine.
